Meet the man behind The Tanning Co

Sixteen years ago, I opened Coventry's very first sunbed shop in Earlsdon. Back then, tanning in this city looked nothing like it does today. It was just me, a couple of sunbeds, and a lot of belief that people deserved somewhere proper to go.

Fast forward to today, and I now also run Coventry's original sunbed salon, the Wyken shop, which has been serving this city for an incredible 26 years. When I took it on, I didn't just want to keep the lights on. I wanted to completely reimagine what a tanning salon in this city could be. Modernising the space, raising the standard, and building something that actually matches how far the tanning industry has come.

Between the two shops, that's over four decades of combined experience serving Coventry. And if you ask me why we're still here after all this time, it's simple. Our customers keep coming back. In an industry where salons open and close every year, that kind of loyalty isn't luck. It's trust, built one appointment at a time.
